He is survived by: his wife Rita Scheckel; his children, Michael Martin (Jolene), Michele Doan (David), Lawrence Martin (Michelle), Charlene Horsfall (Hugh), Stuart Martin (Ashley) and Andrea Brown (Ben); and his siblings, Margaret Scheckel (Edwin), Ann Scheckel (Lawrence) and James Martin (Betty). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
