He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Oates and Annadel Oates (Hull); and his brothers, Tom and Denny Oates. He is survived by: his wife Mary Culver; his children, Joe Oates and Jayne McPhail (Scott); his grandson Konrad Haba-Oates; and his siblings, Judy Medley (Larry), Perry Oates (Mary) and Jim Stimart (Dorothy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may call from 10:00 a. m. until the time of the service at the funeral home, where the family is requesting that all in attendance will wear face coverings and practice social distancing during their time at the funeral home.
