He is survived by: his wife Sonja Fay Sielaff; his daughters, Natalie Velie (Steve) and Lori Sanders (late Dean); his grandchildren, Josh Velie (Rachel), Danielle Prissel (Mark), Tairyn Velie (Ryan Frank), Bret Sanders (Miranda Hartje) and Kara Sanders (Trevor Howells); his great grandchildren, Brynleigh Prissel and Beckett Prissel; and his siblings-in-law, Anne Herbert (Loren), Rosemary Berg (Sielaff), Georgia Nelson (Sielaff), Kathryn Thompson (Sielaff), Butch Block and George Sielaff.
