It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janis LaVon Johnson of Onalaska, Wisconsin, who passed away on December 13, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Deno and Hazel Deno (Waughtal); her husband Duane Johnson; and her siblings, Albert Deno (Dorothy), Richard Deno (Irene) and Grace Schult Russell.
She is survived by: her children, Scott Johnson (Stephanie) and Kristi Sunday (Greg); her grandchildren, Jessica Adamson (Kohl), Matthew Sunday (Kayla) and Michelle Johnson; her half-brother Peter Peterson; her great grandchildren, Eliza, Liam Brecken and Colby; and her siblings-in-law, Theodore Johnson (Pat), Dawn Johnson (La Vern) and Jeanne Richling (Paul). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred for the Coulee Region Jesus Cares Program.
