He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Metz and Lydia Metz (Wessner); his siblings, Lloyd, Curtis, Bernice, Darlene, Shirley and Esther; and his brothers-in-law, Jake Steinwand, Herman Ruhland and Arthur Engel.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Metz (Lynnes); his daughters, Leah Metz (Chad Hilton) of Onalaska, WI and Jaclyn Metz Thorson (Bryan Thorson) of Hudson, WI; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Hilton and Sydney Thorson. He is also survived by siblings.
