She was predeceased by: her parents, John Maki and Ruth Maki of Ishpeming, MI.; her sister Beverly Hjelt; her siblings-in-law, Merry Bartanen and Richard Bartanen; and also, Robert and Ruth Bartanen.
She is survived by: her husband Bruce Bartanen; her children, Jason Bartanen (Jackie) and Janene Bartanen; her grandchildren, Addie and Aidryk Bartanen; her uncle Cliff St (Ingrid); her siblings-in-law, Raymond Hjelt, Linda Bonetti (Mike), Charlie Bartanen, Stephen Bartanen (Lynn), Sally Healey and Robin Bartanen; and her friends, Beverly Mantyla (Bruce), Mary Rundman (Neil) and Susie Holmgren (Edmund). She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Carole's memory to Green Bay Action Sports Organization, GBASO.org, in support of their mission to "develop youth's social, physical, and leadership skills.".
