It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William M. Cozzens in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 7, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Myron Cozzens, Sr. and Gwendolyn Cozzens. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Cozzens (Ginny); his children, Wendy Cozzens (Scott Polzin) and Bill (Shelley); his grandchildren, Kilian, Carter Fletcher, Ella, Sydney Cozzens, Janelle and Tera Polzin; his sisters, Mary Ellen Pioch (Jim) and Christine Cozzens Hayes (Glenn); his nephew James Pioch (Cheryl); his niece Marci Vose; and his goddaughter Marianne Pioch (Lauren Hayes). He is also survived by his family and friends.

“From being my neighbor at Livermore, California, Bill became a lifelong friend. We kept in touch when he moved to Arizona. Then I was able to visit him in Oconomowoc one winter where he showed me his collection on trains in his basement and he took me on a day trip to scavenge for antique milk bottles in the surrounding farms. When my stepson finished basic training at Great Lakes, Illinois, he was there to give us a memorable tour of the area and department stores of that part of the country.”
