Lisa M. Heckenkamp Obituary
Lisa Marie Heckenkamp (Ward) Born to Eternal Life on June 10, 2023, at the age of 59. She is the beloved wife, of 36 years, to Joseph Heckenkamp. Mother of Nicholas (Ashley) Heckenkamp and Nelson Heckenkamp. Gigi to George and Ellanor Heckenkamp. Sister to Gregory Ward and Christopher (Elaine) Ward. She is preceded in death by her beloved son Michael and parents Michael and Louise Ward.
Lisa graduated from Marquette University in 1985 with a Bachelor Degree in Dental Hygiene. She was united in holy matrimony to Joseph in May of 1987. In 1990, Lisa began her true vocation as a mother. She lovingly cared for her son Michael, who was born with spina bifida, for nearly 18 years. In addition to being a caregiver to Mikey, Lisa was also an educator to all three of her sons, homeschooling the boys over a period of 15 years. All while being a wife, mother, caregiver and teacher, Lisa started and ran a family business for nearly 25 years alongside her husband Joe. After a successful 25 years, Lisa and Joe sold their company to James Imaging Systems. Lisa spent the last 9 years working for James Imaging. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her many friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Lisa enjoyed an evening boat ride, with a good cocktail in hand. She enjoyed watching the sunset and heading home to share smore's over the campfire with George and Ellanor.
She will be deeply missed. Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband, children, and grandchildren.
A Funeral Requiem Mass will be held Tuesday June 20, 2023, at 10 AM at St. Pius V Roman Catholic Church, 425 Grand Ave., Mukwonago. Burial to follow at St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Genesee. Visitation will be held Monday June 19, 2023, at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home 121 S. Cross St. Oconomowoc from 4 PM until time of Rosary at 7:30 PM.
