The memory of Peggy Anne Hammel of New Berlin, Wisconsin, born in Coffeyville, Kansas, who passed away on August 26, 2024 at the age of 79, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Maynard Elertson and Sophie Elertson; her sister Carol Goodman; her parents-in-law, Earl and Ethel Hammel; and her siblings-in-law, Earl Hammel, John Hammel and Patricia Skurulsky.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Hammel (Kaye Dunn) and Laura Starfeldt (Brian); her grandsons, Blake and Bennett; her siblings, Marybeth Stilwell (Craig) and Robert Elertson (Susan); her sisters-in-law, Marlene Zivens (Robert) and Sandra Hammel; and her husband Bill Hammel. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Peggy's name to "The Word Today" at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 77, Greendale, WI 53129.
