He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas McCarthy and Eva McCarthy; his brother John; and his grandson Bryan Jezior. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Strelecki; his children, Kathleen Schullek (John), Rosanne Jezior (Paul), Lori Thomas (Thomas Jr.), Robert McCarthy (Nikki) and Kevin McCarthy (Anne); his grandchildren, Eric Schullek, Melissa Mizerik (Forrest), Maranda, Mya and Makaya McCarthy; his children, Kelly Dettlo (Mark) and Patrick Lohman (Julie); his great grandchildren, Cooper, Cameron, Patrick, Alex, Mary Grace and Garrett; his brother Paul McCarthy (Shirley); and his sisters-in-law, Liz McCarthy and Julie Boverie (Ron). He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials, in Jim's name, to St James Catholic Church, Mukwonago, St. Vincent de Paul Society or American Heart Association, deeply appreciated.
