She was predeceased by: her husband Benny; her parents, Joe Bowar and LaVona Bowar; her siblings, Marlene Ann Bowar and Marvel Bowar; her parents-in-law, Joe and Mayme Koenig; and her in-laws, Esther Haag (LeRoy), Bob Ship and Bea Bowar.

She is survived by: her children, Marlene Schlimgen, Rick Koenig (Mary), RoseAnn Achenbach (Gary), Patty Koenig, Russell Koenig (Deb) and Sharon Koenig; and her sisters-in-law, Ruth Ship and Joan Bowar. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.
