He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Schowalter and Genevieve "Jean" McGuire (Schowalter); his former wife Diane Winter; his son Rex Schowalter; and his son-in-law Cody Siolka.
He is survived by: his wife Theodora "Teddie" Bernhoft; his children, Rich Schowalter, Robin Seal (John), Stacey Lompre (Chad), Ashley Schowalter (Scott Kraus), Courtney Schowalter, Ryan Schowalter (Kaitlyn), Dustin Schowalter (Hallie Kalmakoff), Amy Siolka, Aaron Schowalter (Kayla), Brittni Schowalter (Steven Provost) and Michele Kohnhorst (Delos); his grandchildren, Brooke, Evan, Alexis S., Alexis L., Ashleigh, Dominique, Hayleigh, Ryley, Ryler, Zyker, Bryer, Brayden, Aubree, Olivia, Hannah, Kameron, Karsyn, Kailor and Hayes; and his siblings, James Schowalter, Susan Lessor and Robert Schowalter. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
A reception was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bolger Cremation & Funeral Services - Woodruff Chapel (1212 1st Ave, Woodruff, WI 54568).
