He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Scharbarth and Leona Scharbarth; his brothers, Wilbur and Kenneth; his son Michael; and his pet Cindy.
He is survived by: his children, Don Scharbarth (Tracey), Lisa Urlaub (John), Jon Scharbarth (Kelly) and Vicki (Jerry); his grandchildren, Tyler (Jill), Abby Scharbarth, Morgan Neal, Alli, Zach Scharbarth and Hannah Seay; his brother Rolain Scharbarth; and his pet Cheerio.
