He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Frank and Effie Clara Steele (Sterling); his son Ricky Alan Steele; his son-in-law Butch DeVoe; his siblings, Marian and Harland; and his sister-in-law Laural.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Steele of Dodgeville; his children, Gary Steele of Dodgeville, Linda DeVoe (Mike Stietz) of Darlington, Randy Steele (Jenny Quirk) of Darlington and Teresa Steele (Todd Gullickson) of Mineral Point; his grandchildren, Branden Reuter (Angie Hartman) of Monroe, Jason DeVoe (Amanda Hartman) of Argyle, Bradley LaDow of Dodgeville and Tabetha Steele (Brent Corpora) of Rio; his great grandchildren, Keaton, Lonnie, Aiden and Drake; and his siblings, Marie Faye of Stoughton and Wallace Steele of Belleville.
