He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Getchel and Elfrieda Getchel (Krier); his brother Donald Getchel (Muriel); and his brother-in-law Phillip Buchanan. He is survived by: his wife Jordy; his children, Greg Getchel (Margie), Tami Dosch (Theron) and Gary Getchel (Cheryl); his grandchildren, Nic Getchel, Rebecca Volkmann (Chad), Josh Splinter, Andria Adams (Tommy), Brandon Getchel (Lori), Zach Getchel (Makensy Steindl), Teanna Dosch, Lexie Schutz (Alec) and Teagon Dosch; his sister Darlene Schmidt (Robert); and his siblings-in-law, Faye Otto (Charles) and Charles Buchanan (Jean). He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hope Lutheran Church, Agrace Hospice and/or the Milton & Milton Township Fire Department.
