She was predeceased by: her parents, James J. McBride and Helen McBride (Colson); and her brothers, Owen Patrick "Bud" McBride and Raymond McBride. She is survived by: her children, Carmen Marie Shickles (Jim) of Janesville and Daniel James Kessler (Jennifer) of Janesville; her husband Arnie Kessler; her grandchildren, Eric Broten, Addison and Kaitlyn Kessler; her brothers, James McBride (Carol) and Kenneth McBride (Caroline); and her siblings-in-law, Richard Kessler, Virginia Carey, Roxanne Stephens and Betty Kessler.
She was a volunteer of the American Red Cross in Germany and a member of the Janesville Home and Garden Club, where she enjoyed participating in events to raise donations for many of the less fortunate.
