He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Parkin and Kathryn Parkin (Sullivan); his wife Della Parkin; and his brothers, John and Russell Parkin.

He is survived by: his girlfriend Marlene Mack; his children, Raymond "Raymie" Parkin Jr. (Marcia) and Donna Ballweg; his grandchildren, Brandon Ballweg (Stephanie), Daniel Ballweg (Macy), R. David Parkin III (Karleen), Emma Dittmer (Dan), Megan Parkin and Molly Parkin; his great grandchildren, Jayden Rosseter, Cameron Parkin, Ethan Ballweg, Della Mae, Josie Dittmer, Lyla Ballweg and Chloe Ballweg; and his siblings, Marcella Newell and Archie Parkin Jr.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
