He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Wanless and Clara Wanless (Vogt); and his siblings, Gertrude Reist (Jacob), George Wanless, Fred Wanless (Esther) and Leona Wanless.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Wanless of Merrill; his daughters, Kathy Ray (Dennis) of Wausau, Debbie Hilberg (Walter) of Fort Atkinson and Janet Schreiber (Tim) of Merrill; his grandchildren, Leah Strand (Nathan), Lisa Folta (Dan), Dave Ray (Erika), Nick Ray (Aubrey), Savannah Roberts (Jordan), Jen Schreiber and Amber Schreiber; his great grandchildren, Trentyn Strand, Tavyn Strand, Nyomie Strand, Danny Folta and Ainsley Folta; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Wanless of Merrill.
