He was predeceased by: his father Marvin Hackbart (Kleinschmidt); and his siblings, Marlene Zuelsdorff (Ronald), Lloyd Hackbart (Mary Anne) and Warren Hackbart (Arlene). He is survived by: his wife Marion Hackbart of Merrill; his children, Kaye Annis (Scott) of Merrill and Dale Hackbart (Cher) of Wausau; his grandchildren, Kurt Annis (Whitney) of Merrill, Jordan Annis (Tristin O'Neill) of Brookfield, Ryan Annis (Denise) of Texas, Jen Brezovar (Dan) of Wausau, Christy Beyer of Wausau and Michelle Gleason (Rick) of Wausau; his great grandchildren, Ava Annis, Kolton Annis, Courtney Bloomer, Matt Annis, Katie Annis, Brady Annis, Lilly Beyer, Laney Brezovar, Myla Beyer, Liam Beyer, Everett Gleason and Edison Gleason; and his sister-in-law Mavis Bloom (Doug) of Wausau. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Geno's name may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill, or to the Lincoln County Humane Society.
