He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Nero and Eleanor Nero (Molzahn). He is survived by: his wife Sheri; his children, Heather Obenberger (Kurt) and Heath (Liza); his grandsons, Tyler and Grayson Obenberger; and his brothers, Gil (Carol) and Jim (Martha). He is also survived by five nephews and other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Wayne's memory to the UW-Stout Foundation, Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Menomonie Youth Hockey, or Stepping Stones of Dunn County.
