Sharon M. Hedges Obituary

Born May 29, 1941. Passed away August 2, 2023, at the age of 83. Loving mother of Pamela Hedges (Casey) Kerwin, Sandy Hedges, David Hedges, and Steven (Anna) Hedges. Dear grandmother of Carley, Camie, Shayla, Jimmy, Ava, Justin, Easton, Levi, and Audley. Sharon earned her bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and was a Social Worker coordinating adoptions and also operated a plant business. She raised her family in Greendale and later in life resided on the East Side of Milwaukee. Among her interests, Sharon enjoyed being outdoors, taking long walks, caring for plants, feeding the birds, being a devoted dog owner, and visiting local parks, especially the botanical garden. She also enjoyed trips to Florida to the beach and collecting seashells. Ice cream was a favorite, banana splits in particular, and she was known to enjoy the challenge of rummage sale excursions. Sharon was a professed Christian Scientist and was anchored by the belief that "God is Love" (1John 4:16) and the power of prayer can accomplish much in our lives. She will be fondly remembered for her sense of humor, the ability to laugh and be silly, and being always young at heart. Considering her reverence for the earth and respect for the environment, green burial will take place privately at Forest Home Cemetery in Milwaukee.
