Michael W. O'Connor Obituary

Of Menomonee Falls.

Entered into Eternal Life on July 16, 2023, at the age of 84. Mike was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on July 1, 1939, to the late Leo and Ester O'Connor. He attended Messmer High School and Marquette University. Until his retirement in 2001, Mike worked as the Plant Manager at Mantel Machine Products in Menomonee Falls for more than 20 years.

Mike had a passion for cars, and he loved automobile racing. In the late 60's and early 70's he and his friends owned a top fuel dragster and traveled around the US on weekends to participate in races. He also attended the Indianapolis 500 time trials for many years. As he got older, he enjoyed watching races on television.

Mike loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He attended many events such as Grandparents Day, soccer games, swim meets and weekly family dinners.

Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Carol O'Connor and his parents. He will be missed by his loving children, Lynn O'Connor and Kathleen Busch; his grandchildren Eric (Moriah) Butler, Adam (Nayeli) Butler, Amanda Busch and Michael (Lindsay) Busch; his great grandchildren, Caroline Butler, Allen Butler and Baker Busch; his siblings Mary Ann Harpster and Pat O'Connor; special friend Joanne; many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A celebration of Mike's life will be held in the coming months.
