Mary Jane Rischmann Obituary
Mary Jane Rischmann passed away peacefully of natural causes on June 3rd, 2023, at the age of 93. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Ralph, and her two sisters Jeanette and Geraldine. She is survived by two sons, Thomas (Roberta) and Robert (Michele). Further survived by grandchildren Kristi (Thomas) Rapp, Daniel, Lindsay (Ryan) Nielsen and Bonnie. Five great grandchildren, Aidan, Grayson, Mackenzie, Axel and Dottie.
Mary was born July 19, 1929, the youngest of three daughters to Raymond and Marie Schuster. Mary loved traveling as well as entertaining family and friends. Many summer trips to Wisconsin's Northwoods in Manitowish Waters. From 1993 to 2013, Ralph and Mary enjoyed being "snowbirds", spending 6 months of the year at their place in Nokomis, Florida, where they made memories, many new friends, and long-lasting relationships. They also traveled to many places throughout the United States attending Ralph's US Navy reunions. Mary was employed as an operator for Wisconsin Bell Telephone, where she met Ralph. After marrying in 1953, and starting a family in 1957, Mary was a stay-at-home mom. As the boys got older, she went back to work for ATT/Lucent as an Administrative Assistant. They bridged her service from Wisconsin Bell so she could receive a pension. Mary was born and raised in Menomonee Falls, but after marriage, lived in the City of Milwaukee for 62 years. Her last four years were spent in her beloved Menomonee Falls at Wildwood Senior Living and the Arboretum Assisted Living facilities. The family would like to send Vitas Hospice Care a special thanks for their caring and compassion in her final days.
Visitation from 10:00am until a Time of Sharing at 12PM on Friday, June 9th at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, N84 W17937 Menomonee Falls, WI 53051. Burial at St. Mary's Church Cemetery to immediately follow.
