Margaret E. Weiss Obituary
Margaret Weiss, age 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by family members on February 14th, 2023. Born October 31st, 1928 to the late Elsie and Dr. Cletus Ziegler, Margaret grew up in Milwaukee with 10 siblings in a very eventful household. A dedicated mother raising 6 kids in Wauwatosa Margaret was a guiding light to her family and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert. Survived by Deborah (James), Catherine (Thomas d), Margaret (d), James (Suzanne), Elizabeth and Mary. Grandmother to Matthew, Zachary Schroeder, John, James Lyons, Kelly Wang, Dan Cunningham, Emily Oskey, Erika, Megan Weiss, Rachel Weiss and Jake Spurgin. Great-grandmother to 10.
Marge and Bob bought a Lake home "up nort" and spent many years entertaining friends and family at the "Cottage". Every weekend was filled with excitement as the Weiss family packed up the car and headed north. The experience was filled with skiing, water sports, barbecues, home made meals cooked to perfection, visiting friends and relatives and going out for Friday fish fry's. Marge fell in love with the great Wisconsin north. She loved going cross country skiing with Aunt Elsa and they had many laughs together while playing golf. She loved having a sister right down the road. Marge and Bob made every weekend special with kindness and adventure for all. We know they are now together looking down on all the kids and grandchildren and smiling.
Marge was a gifted artist and after finishing a painting she would say "oh that's nothing!". She would laugh at the thought that she was so gifted. Each painting she did is a real treasure. Marge will be deeply missed by so many. We will never forget you mom.
Thank you to the incredibly compassionate team at Heartis of Brookfield and the Hospice team at St. Croix for treating our mother so kind. A private family service will be held at St. Paul Church in Oconomowoc. In lieu of flowers please contribute to the Parkinson's Foundation or American Cancer Society.
