Joseph J. Reis Obituary

Passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, eight days short of his 93rd birthday. Loving husband of Louise (nee Martin) for almost 68 years. Joseph is survived by 4 wonderful families, including surrogate children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Lisa and Joseph Lau, Wendy and Dean Balister, Jenny Rueth and Ken Ludwig, and Peggy and Gary Gruenke. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Joseph enjoyed a full life with a career in education and museum work. He had a long retirement which included travel, adventure, and bicycle trips in Europe.

A future Celebration of Joe's life will take place at a later date. He will be laid to rest at Wisconsin Memorial Park (Main Building 2nd floor Corridor M2 Niche 123E) in Brookfield, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joe's name to The Historical Society at Old Falls Village are greatly appreciated (PO Box 91; Menomonee Falls, WI 53051).
