He was predeceased by: his son Ronald Eliason; and his great grandchild Nicholas Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his daughter Rebekah Simmet (Ludwig) of Verona; his grandchildren, Heidi Afghan (Nadeem), Leah and Sophia Thomas (Michael); his great grandchildren, Amelia Simmet, Benjamin Simmet and Trinity Thomas; his daughter-in-law Hildegard Eliason of Oregon, WI; his siblings, Jean Adams of Oregon State, Bruce Eliason (Jeanette) of Oregon State and Donald Eliason (Elsa) of California; and his brother-in-law Marshall Berg of Middleton. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
