He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Giese and Ruth Giese (Jacobitz); his wife Helen Morse; his siblings, June Giese, Jim Giese (Bernice), Shirley Gluch (George), Robert Giese (Carol), Rosemary Boxrucker (Daniel) and Joan Kufahl (Harvey); and his brothers-in-law, Ron Bergman, Robert Streich and Kurt Raasch.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Jo (Peter Vander Grinten), Mark (Michele Giese), Lori (Mark Dougherty) and Rick (Steph Giese); his grandchildren, Jon Vander Grinten, Sara Goerlitz (Ryan), Will Dougherty (Katie Kramer), Riley Dougherty, Ben Giese and Stacey Giese; his great grandchildren, Avie and Jonah Goerlitz; his siblings, Jackie Bergman, Nancy Streich and Ed Giese (Marge); and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Albrecht, Alberta Walker (Wayne) and Sally Meinen (Lamont). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
