Melaas (Marshfield, Wisconsin), born in Mason City, Iowa, who passed away on March 30, 2019, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Logemann and Ruth Logemann (Peterson); her husband Joe; her children, Barbara Melaas-Swanson and Thomas Joseph Melaas; and her siblings-in-law, Bruce Melaas and Betty Melaas.
She is survived by: her children, Kristine Melaas Merkel (Keith) of Marshfield, WI and Kari Jo Melaas (Tony Owings); her son-in-law Wayne Melaas-Swanson; her grandchildren, Daniel, Kirsten Melaas-Swanson, Emily, Hanna Merkel and Katelyn "Binbin" Owings; her sister Betty Jepsen (Charles) of Waukon, IA; and her sisters-in-law, Geri Melaas of Denton, TX, Helen Canine (Will) and Des Moines. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated in Alice's name to St. James Lutheran Church in Rock Island, IL or to the American Cancer Society.
