He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernie Smiley and Norma Smiley (Benson). He is survived by: his wife Sally; his children, Jodi Beyersdorf (Marion), Tracy Schwartz (Marion), Megan (Kevin), Sarah Smiley (Aaron Lensing) of Belleville, IL and Aaron Jensen; his grandchildren, Alyssa Robinson (Nathan Nueske), Ash Beyersdorf (Chris Markquardt), Alex Beyersdorf, Morgan Schwartz, Madelynn and Kenzley Sandall; his sisters, Wendy Omer (Doug) and Rhonda Smiley-Webster (Rich); and his pets, Fred and Max.
