He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto W. Mengert and Laura N. Mengert (Buchholz); and his brothers, Gerald and Wesley Mengert. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his sons, Jeffrey Mengert (Beth), Marion and Rick Mengert (Tracey); his grandchildren, Tiffany McGraw (Mike), Marion, Lindsay Woodruff (Ryan), Jeremy Mengert and Emily Mengert of Phoenix, AZ.; his great grandchildren, Kailey Rosenow, Paisley McGraw, Wyatt Woodruff and Natalie Woodruff; and his sister-in-law Jean Mengert (Virginia).
