She was predeceased by: her parents, George Wettstein and Helen Wettstein (Bushek); her husband Ernie; her children, Jeff and Sharon Clappier; and her sons-in-law, Steve Murray and Mike Schultz.
She is survived by: her in-laws, Jack Clappier of Whitefish Bay, WI, Bonnie Murray of West Salem, WI, Dennis Stalsberg (Cindy) of La Crosse, Janice Stalsberg of Hokah, MN, Susan Schultz of La Crosse, Kent Stalsberg (Marie) of Vancouver, WA, Kevin Stalsberg (Barb), Kay Carmichael (Dale) of Cottage Grove, WI and Tim Stalsberg (Shelly) of La Crosse. She is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 3 step-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
After retiring, Rose volunteered with RSVP, sewing hundreds of children's surgical caps for local hospitals, knitting caps and scarves for donations, and helping at Community Theater events, Riverfest, and Oktoberfest.
