She is survived by: her husband Elmer Bruening Jr. (Tiger); her grandchild Connie Funk (Kurt); her great grandchildren, Austin and Megan; her granddaughter Tammy Phillips (Brian Miller); her great grandchildren, Derek Phillips and Eden Miller; her grandson Christopher; her great grandchild Elena Lukes; her granddaughter Amy M. Henry M. D. (Peter M. D.); her great grandchildren, Mitchell, Holly and Bronwyn Beatrice; her grandchildren, Jason and Jerod Hagen (Lori); her great grandchildren, Channing, Harlow and Jett; and her sister Eileen Hamachek. She is also survived by her three daughters.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund per Dorothy's request will be established.
