She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Sommer and Ruth Sommer (Schroeder); her husband Larry Spice; her siblings-in-law, Sharon McCollum, Helen Meier (Henry), Art Sommer, Clarence Sommer (Doris), Elverna Drews (Wilbur), Louise Spiegelberg (Delvin) and Walter Sommer; her sister Velma; and her close friend Irene Luehring.
She is survived by: her former husband Carl Kalbus; her children, Brenda (Kevin), Greg and Brian (Sharrey); her brother Eldor Sommer (Pat); her grandchildren, Eric (Jenn), Michael (Kayla), David (Ashley), Ashley (Josh) and Holly (Jack); her great grandchildren, Christian, Carter, Waylon and Weston; and her siblings-in-law, LaVerne Sommer, Jim Spice (Linda), Jan Lindemuth (Tom), Ellen Kiefer (Dave), Barb Spice, Peg Gerrits (Don), Becky Spice and Bill McCollum. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family has set up a memorial in Margaret's name.
