She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Schmidt and Margaret Schmidt (Wanke); her husband Ignatius Lenz (Iggy); her parents-in-law, Gregory and Lena Lenz; her siblings, Arthur Schmidt (Gladys), Raymond Schmidt (Carol), William Schmidt and Margaret Mentzer; and her siblings-in-law, Frank Austin, Pauline VandeHey (Lloyd) and Julitta Bergeron (James).
She is survived by: her children, Gregory Lenz (Janet), Mary Sternweis (James), David Lenz (Sandra), Mark Lenz and Thomas Lenz (Karen); her grandchildren, Rebecca Pedersen (Daniel), Jennifer Lenz (William Powell), Emily Lenz, Thomas Sternweis (Isabel), Sarah Talbot (Matthew), Carol Sternweis, Garrett Lenz (Kit), Alexandra Niemi (Scott), Parker Lenz (Maura King), Madeline Lenz, Claire Pyron (Matthew), Ellie Schuh (Travis), Mitchell Lenz (Chelsea), Claudia Hefferon (Timothy), Kelsey Vanden Brook (Jonathan), Devan Lenz-Fisher (Tyler) and Troy Lenz (Kylie); her sisters, MaryAnn Austin, Eleanor Hietpas (Marvin) and Florence McKenna (Mike); and her siblings-in-law, Edward Mentzer and Barbara Schmidt. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In Lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in her name to contribute to Helen's many meaningful charities.
