He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Merrifield and Beth Merrifield (Waufle); his former wife Barbara Recht; and his half-brother Bob Wells (Clara Mae). He is survived by: his children, Patti Flores and Steve Affeldt (Carmen); his wife Joan Affeldt; and his children, Victor, David (Linda), John and Beth. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials may be made to Mercyhealth Hospice.
