He was predeceased by: his parents, Thayne C. Whitcomb and Faye E. Whitcomb (Olson); and his half-sister Mary Ann Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Lane of Hudson, Lisa Denny (Scott) of Hudson and Joanie Rumpeltes (JJ) of Sun Valley, Idaho; his brother Gerald Whitcomb (Maryanne) of Sun Valley; and his grandchildren, Kate (Alex Berezansky), Jason, Kristin Denny, Bennett Whitcomb, Jack and Haven Rumpeltes.
Memorials in lieu of flowers can be contributed to First Presbyterian Church of Hudson, Hudson Backpack and Food Program and Hudson Area Public Library.
