She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Omvig and Isabelle Omvig (Olson); her sister Rogene Beckman; her brothers-in-law, Robert Roodell, Don Lewellen and Paul Beckman; her former husband Dennis Geiken; and her granddaughter Blair Anderson.
She is survived by: her children, Sue Amundson (Argie), Tom Anderson (Kim), Hans Hansen, Brenda Capron (Stephen) and Tami Lee (Randy); and her sisters, Lola Roodell, Betty Lewellen and Julie Lessard.
Karen was a skilled knitter, and for many years, she knit mittens, hats, slippers, scarfs and anything else she could to donate to those in need. She would donate to Grace Place in New Richmond, Operation H.E.L.P. and Listening House.
