He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gerich and Catherine Gerich (Rill); his wife Ethel Jettmann; and his siblings, Paul Gerich and Cathy Butow.
He is survived by: his sons, Duane Gerich (Shelley) of Hayward and Marty Gerich of Hayward; his grandchildren, Cody Gerich (Cassie), Ryan Gerich, Amber Marlow, Alison Cuddy (Joe), Andi Soros, Aren Gerich and Marty Gerich Jr.; and his sister Barbra Smith of Lincolnwood, IL. He is also survived by nineteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
