He was predeceased by: his son John M. Engel III (Amy); and his brothers, Ronald (Lorraine) and Theodore Engel (Arlene). He is survived by: his son Robert Engel (Yvonne); his stepchildren, Michelle DuBord (Wendell) and Robert Schick (Denise); and his siblings, Doreen Anderson (Oscar) and Donald Engel (Fern). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
