He is survived by: his wife Carol; his son Jeb (Samantha); his sisters, Penny Hanson, Mary Preisler and Sue Bennett; and his grandsons, Luke and Elliot. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to support cancer research can be made to the Medical College of Wisconsin.
