He was predeceased by: his brother Carl R. Salzer; his mother Louise Melody; his grandmother Marie "Mor Mor" Thomas; and his sister Verona Fenzl. He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his children, Robin (Ann-Marie Villicana), Rhonda Silver (Bob Mader) and Ryan (Debra Salzer); his grandchildren, Alexander, Nicholas, Josefina Villicana-Salzer, Shannon Silver Schuchard (Erik), Eric Silver, Matthew Salzer (Charity) and Michael Salzer; and his great grandchildren, Ephraim, Eloise and Evangeline Salzer.
