He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Giles and Hilda Giles (Johnson) of Siren; his children, Kevin Giles and Jeanne Matz (Giles); and his siblings, Alesi Tjader, Faith Giles, June Klein, Marlys "Bernie" Karl, Carol Karl Johnson, Gardner Giles and Robert Giles.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Robert Richardson and Jen Richards; and his grandsons, Michael Giles and Jacob Matz. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
