He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Rumppe and Crystabel Rumppe (Jacobus) of Ontario, WI; his siblings, Mertie Beier (Lawrence), Fern Conant (Max), Mildred Anderson (Howard), Alfred Rumppe (Darlene), Robert Rumppe (Mary) and Earl Rumppe Jr.; and his brothers-in-law, Alonzo Orethun and Gerald Hanson.

He is survived by: his wife Doana Hutchens; his children, Robin Buerger (Doug) and Roger; his grandchildren, Amber Chula (Mike), Michael Buerger (Jaclyn) and Alice Buerger; his children, Kayla, William, Chrystabel and Emily; his sisters, Arlene Orethun and Darlene Hanson; his sisters-in-law, Shirley Rumppe and Eileen Rumppe; and his brother Frank Rumppe. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
