He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Nelson and Bernardine Nelson (Diedrich); and his siblings, Andrew "Bucky" Nelson and Bernardette "Bunny" Malczewski (Nelson). He is survived by: his siblings, J. C. Nelson, Catherine Venzke (Roy), Darlene Gorski and Michele Pick (Harold). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
