He was predeceased by: his parents, George McKay and Thelma McKay (Norton); his spouse Leone E. "Onie" Stenberg; and his siblings, Margaret Yerges, Marie Beardsley, Doris Walker, Harold, Russel and Wayne McKay.
He is survived by: his sons, George McKay (Linda) of Minong, Tom McKay (Mary) of Fall River, Mark McKay (Andrew Strambi) of Fresno, CA and Glenn McKay (Karen) of Sun Prairie; his grandchildren, Troy McKay (Fran), Matt McKay (Michelle), Stacy Kraus (Aaron), Sara Zuhlke, Heather Schultz (Eric), Megan McKay (Bob Bellin), Jenni, Lauren, Colten and Harlan McKay; and his stepgrandsons, Daniel, Samuel, Chase and Tyler Ott. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
