He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Clarence "Buck" Sampson and Bessie Sampson (Chapin); his wife Patricia Ann Sampson (Nicely); his daughters, Karen Garner and Darlene Sampson; his stepson Michael Jones; his granddaughter Rebecka Ridenour; his siblings, Nancy Snyder, Dorothy Jennings (late Larry), Peggy Phillips (late Phil), Inez McGuigan (late Mac) and Clarence Sampson; and his siblings-in-law, Dottie Sampson, Jack Swisher and Jose May.
He is survived by: his daughter Jeanne Sampson of Fall Creek, WI; his stepchildren, Cynthia Rice (David), Candy Bowers (Stephen) of Woodsboro, MD, Caythee Ruby of Rocky Ridge, MD, Rodney Jones of Solomons Island, Cady Meier (Reid) of Huntsville, AL and Catricia Lankford of Waynesboro, PA; and his siblings, Bruce Sampson (Belle), Kenny Sampson, Morris Sampson (Thelma), Jesse Sampson (Joan), Jimmy Sampson, Linda Swisher, Marylou May and Janice Linkins. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
