He was predeceased by: his daughter Jane Kay; his wife Enid; and his siblings, Ed, Vern, Arv, Elna Buttenhoff (Maggie) and Elta Schumacher.
He is survived by: his son Tom (Jan); his granddaughter Brenda Sue; his children, Dr. Bill (Sue), Dr. Bob (Pam) and Brenda Squires (Lance); his sister-in-law Faith Zimmerman (Don); his grandchildren, Craig Drehmel (Brenda), Lisa Buhr (Audric), Dan Drehmel, Elizabeth Enid Smyser (Lucas), Sam, Jake, Angie Drehmel, Grant Squires (Abby) and Dr. Nick Squires (Stephanie); his great grandchildren, Tyler, Halle, Carson, Maxwell Buhr, Stella Drehmel, Hunter Smyser and Willa Squires; and also Enid Erickson.
Due to COVID restrictions there will be a private committal service at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery in Ludington at a date to be determined.
