He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Downing and Stella A. Downing (Rynes). He is survived by: his wife Janice Downing of Edgerton; his children, Sheila Wilcox (Mike) of Edgerton, Tammy Ciebell (Matt) of Edgerton, Terry Downing (Heidi) of Edgerton and Shane Downing (Kristi) of Edgerton; his grandchildren, Cullan, Logan, Madalyn, Danielle, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Jaid, Jana, Valerie, Bailey, Tessa, Dylan, Hanah, Brody, Allison and Maicy; and his pet Buddy. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; numerous niece and nephews.
Family is requesting donations to the American Diabetes Association.
