He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Statz and Dorothy Statz; his brothers, Dick Statz and Gerry "Bubby" Statz; his brothers-in-law, John Dahlk and Arlen Kosok; and his nephew Craig Statz.
He is survived by: his son Herbert; his wife LouAnn Statz; his children, Richard Statz (Amy), Shawn Statz (Deb Barsness) and Traci Daane (Todd); his grandchildren, Taylor Statz, Dylan Daane and Brooke Statz; his siblings, Sandy Nelson (Eric), Mary "Mutzy" Dahlk, Linda Statz, Larry Statz (Marilyn) and Steven "Tootie" Statz; and his sisters-in-law, Sandee Statz, Carol Franks (Michael) and Karen Kosok. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
