He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Plendl and Elizabeth Plendl (Buechner); his wife Ann Karls; his children, James (Katie), Ellen, David (Angie), John (Clare) and Andrew; and his siblings, Kathy Clemens (Keith), Karen Meinholz (Larry), Dan Plendl (Chris), Rich Plendl (Kris) and Kevin Plendl (Debbie). He was also cherished by seven grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter's School, McDonell Area Catholic Schools, or to your local library.
